God says “Undoubtedly God bestows sense/knowledge of religion to somebody and selects him for doing such work”.  Great Classical poet Sultan-ul-Arfeen Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri spread the light of spirit all over the world through Dastan-e-Ameer Hamza, Ahsan-ul-Qasas, Chithian and many other books. It is the importance of the age that the message of the great Classical poet was to be conveyed to the people. In order to bring in the knowledge of the people the correct/actual life history, status, personality, teachings and the message of brotherhood of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib and in the recognition of his great services regarding religious, spiritual, social and literature, his published and unpublished books be published and do research work on his literary work, Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri, the maternal grandson of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri played an historical role and laid the foundation of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Foundation (Regd.) on Friday 30 November 1990. Acting upon the programs of the organization, for the betterment of the coming generation, development of country and the creation of nation, the promotion of Punjabi language & literature and the betterment of humanity will be carried on.

This work/achievement of Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri was highly appreciated by the well-known personalities of India and Pakistan. The messages regarding Hazrat Maulvi Sahib have been received from them. In 1992 Pakistan Television broadcast a memorable and beautiful program consisting of three (3) episodes regarding the life history and work of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri. This program was hosted by famous singer Inayt Hussain Bhatti. Its producer was Syed Qaiser Ali Shah. It also included interview of Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri.

Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib is celebrated on 7 March each year in Alampur, distt. Hoshiarpur, India.  When Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri reached at the shrine of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib on 20 April 2007, then he fixed the next date of urs Mubarak which falls on 7 March (24 Phagan). It is the date of death of the great Classical poet. Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri participated in different seminars as a Chief Guest which held in Alampur and district Hoshiarpur in the memory of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri.  Print and electronic media gave a wide coverage to these functions. In this connection Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri gave rupees 10,000 Indian to the President, Jarnail Singh Ghumman of Sahit Sabha Dasuya Garhdiwala. During 1994-1995, a “Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Memorial Hall” was established in Govt. High School of Alampur. This Memorial Hall was used to be Hazrat Maulvi Sahib’s Masjid. With the intense efforts of Chetan Singh (Deputy Director of Language Department Punjab, Patiala) a library was established in the name of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib in Government High School Alampur in 2007.

Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri has collected all the published and unpublished books of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib with great efforts and the same are available in the organization. After making endless efforts and doing research work for a long time, collecting authentic information, Sahibzada Masud Ahmed Alampuri got published two books regarding the life history and work of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib. First book with the title of “Doonghey Raaz” (A study regarding Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri) was published by “Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Foundation (Regd.)” in 1999. The topics/essays regarding Hazrat Maulvi Sahib written by great personalities of India and Pakistan are available in this book. This book is included in the course of M.A level in Pakistan. His second book with the title of “Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri: Personality and Work” has recently been published by the “Pakistan Academy of Letters” in 2011. The Urs and different other literary functions are being celebrated in the memory of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri each year in Pakistan. In this connection Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Foundation is playing an important as well as an active role. Since 7 March 2008 organization in the memory of Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri has started giving awards and admirable certificates to the selected great personalities of the world in recognition of their great services in the field of literary work.

Under the supervision of organization, a lot of great functions were conducted. The foremost duty of the organization is to publish all the unpublished books of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib and the books already published will be republished after rectifying the printing mistakes. Besides this, it is the aim of the organization is that literary library, research centre, school, college and hospital will be established in the name of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib. Those who will participate in this sacred mission some constructions will be mentioned in favour of them. Because those who co-operate in achieving sacred cause, their love and memory must be remembered.
